HP Mini 110-1125NR 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

HP Mini 110-1125NR 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
I think I’ve had this netbook for about a month now. I bought it refurbished but it looks as if its brand new. Right out of the box, my first impression was that it was a great looking netbook. It has nice designs on the front. Very pretty. I picked up the netbook and thought it was very light but then I put the battery in and realized the 6-cell added a considerable amount of weight. The netbook is basically weightless without the battery. Even with the battery I wouldn’t call it heavy. It still should be considered very light. The battery sticks out of the back and raises the netbook. This is actually very useful because it provides better circulation and keeps the netbook cooler. I also have a heavy dell laptop and I’ve always put something under to lift it a little higher from the table but I don’t have to do that with this netbook. As for battery life, I seem to get about the advertised battery life (that’s nearly 8 hours) when I’m just browsing the net and doing simple things.

ASUS Eee PC 1000HE 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 9.5 Hour Battery Life Review

ASUS Eee PC 1000HE 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 9.5 Hour Battery Life
I love it! I got it for my school work and it’s working great. Of course this kind of computers is not for heavy use, so I have another computer that I use to surf the net and do most of my work. Keyboard is not hard to get used to since it is smaller but it’s not as small as the other notebooks. The Battery life is not 9 hours, I’ve tried it lol however it is around 8 which is not a big difference so I’m ok with that. The screen is small but that is what you get for getting a notebook. The only reason that I’d not recommend this product for is with the Ipad you get the same features you look for in a notebook for school with a little bit more money.

Dell Inspiron iM1012-687IBU Mini 1012 10.1-Inch Ice Blue Netbook - Up to 8 Hours 8 Minutes of Battery Life Review

Dell Inspiron iM1012-687IBU Mini 1012 10.1-Inch Ice Blue Netbook - Up to 8 Hours 8 Minutes of Battery Life
I’m not a computer expert by any means, so I was a little nervous buying a netbook since I kept reading reviews about power problems, etc. I went with Dell because it seemed to be the only one without significant problems in customer service. The first time I plugged my Inspiron mini in, it charged fully pretty quickly. The battery life seems to be well over 8 hours of internet surfing and typing - better than advertised! The second time I tried to charge, I got an error message saying it recognized that the charger was plugged in, but it couldn’t find the battery and thus was not able to charge. Same situation I had read about on a lot of the netbooks. :( I turned it off then back on, no luck. Then I turned it off and removed the battery. I blew on it a little, because that worked back in the day with my Nintendo games, and replaced the battery. It is now fully charged again! Hopefully, this solution will keep working, and work for others.

Sony VAIO VPC-W211AX/P 10-Inch Pink Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life
Works well. The design looks good. I put extra memory, change the original 1 gb for 2gb but I think Windows 7 is a little “heavy”.

ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1001P-PU17-WT 10.1-Inch White Netbook (Up to 11 Hours of Battery Life)
The ASUS makes a great second computer for day or weekend travel. It worked better after expanding the memory to 2GB vs the 1GB it came with.

  • 1.66GHz Intel N450 Atom Processor (512KB L2 Cache)
  • 1 GB DDR2 SODIMM memory, Max Capacity upto 2 GB
  • 10.1″ WSVGA (1024×600) Color-Shine, w/ LED-backlight WideScreen LCD
  • Intel GMA 3150 Graphics Controller
  • 250 GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive

Toshiba Mini NB305-N440BL 10.1-Inch Royal Blue Netbook (8 Hour Battery Life) Review

Toshiba Mini NB305-N440BL 10.1-Inch Royal Blue Netbook (8 Hour Battery Life)
I’ve never really used a PC for more than a few minutes at a time at a friend’s house. I’ve been a Mac guy since 1992 when I began college and first got into graphic design. I have always hated Windows and I have always thought non-Macs felt like cheap junk, the interface always seemed difficult and clunky whether it was Windows 95 or XP. I have only tested Vista and 7 in the stores until I finally bought the bullet and just decided to get this little netbook… because, let’s face it, Apple dropped the ball with that iPad crap.

Samsung NC10-13P Netbook - Up to 6 Hours of Battery Life Review

Samsung NC10-13P Netbook - Up to 6 Hours of Battery Life
I bought this netbook for school less than a month ago. It is pretty good and the battery life lasts long. I like the color, size, and the touch pad is also very sensitive. The keypad is also very easy to type unlike my old one that has a really small keypad. I am very satisfied with this purchase except for one thing: the description says the battery life is 6 hours, but my netbook almost overheated in less than 5 hours. It is probably no difference from a 3 cell battery.

MSI U100-013US 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 3 Hour Battery Life Review

MSI U100-013US 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 3 Hour Battery Life
Love this little netbook. Screen and imagery is terrific for its size. I also have an Acer Aspire One, which I also like, but the slightly larger screen of this works much better for me, and I also like the fact that you don’t have to scroll as much. It will even run my powerpoint through a digital projector fine, except that it can’t handle playing the imbedded video. Plays the video fine if not imbedded. The keyboard is comfortable, and I actually like the rocker mouse a great deal. I find it really easy to use and I like it better than the usual laptop mouse. This netbook is speedy for its size, and operates well on the internet from my use. Quite powerful for its size as well. So far it seems very well made and durable as well. In short, I like everything about it!

Dell Inspiron iM1012-687AWH Mini 1012 10.1-Inch Alpine White Netbook - Up to 8 Hours 8 Minutes of Battery Life Review

Dell Inspiron iM1012-687AWH Mini 1012 10.1-Inch Alpine White Netbook - Up to 8 Hours 8 Minutes of Battery Life
I’ve had my Inspiron mini for about a year and I still love it. It fits in my purse (along with my kindle) and it weighs next to nothing. I’ve taken it to conferences and on vacation. I have a portable DVD/CD burner to install programs and burn discs. I have another regular laptop and 5 other pcs but this is the only one I’ve ever bragged about and showed to strangers. I type about 65wpm and love the keyboard. (I have big hands for a woman.) This is not my fastest computer by any means and I have the XP version but this little guy has made me happy. Also, on several nights I’ve fallen asleep with it and can’t tell you how many times I’ve literally kicked it out of bed not to mention all the times I’ve dropped it and it seems invincible. I’m using it now while I’m lounged back in my recliner watching big screen TV. I can hardly tell it’s on my lap at all except for some warmth. (I’ll probably end up sleeping with it tonight.)

Lenovo S10-2 10-Inch Black Netbook - 6 Cell Battery
Im gonna start saying that this is such a nice netbook, from the design to the functionality, size and weight.
Some say this has an issue with the fan and claim that is too noisy but thats not true mine is very quiet, doesnt overheats.
keyboard is good not as normal keyboard but you get used too it.
the 6 cell battery is a charm, with low brihtness you can get up to 8 hours.
some key features are 1key recovery, web cam mic, face recognition.
I love lenovo this is my first netbook and im already using it more than my primary laptop (wich is an ideapad y510)its just so easy to get on the web.
It has an quick boot option that puts you on the web or skype or im in less than 30secs, this option is so handy.
overall i recommend this netbook its good on design, price, and performance, i have never had any issue with my other lenovo and this one seems to be good as well.
